PRESIDENT
Hello! My name is Clarissa Holguin and I am majoring in Strategic Communications with a concentration in Public Relations. As Chapter President of UH PRSSA, I oversee each leadership department to ensure all operations are running smoothly and our members get the most out of the organization.
Being on the PRSSA team for years, I am more eager than ever to welcome new and returning faces to PRSSA! Having a passion for networking and professional development in the communications field, I hope to lead with wisdom and bring an enriching experience for all.
In my free time, I enjoy trying out new boba/coffee shops, shopping for trinkets, and going to concerts (you don’t want to see my storage, I take too many concert videos). If you have any questions on the organization, UH as a whole, or where to get the best matcha, feel free to reach out to me!
VICE PRESIDENT
Hey everyone! My name is Noemi Martinez. I am a senior majoring in Strategic Communications with a focus on Public Relations and minoring in Retailing and Consumer Science. I am happy to continue to serve as UH PRSSA’s Chapter Vice President this semester, in which I will be working closely with the president and department heads to plan exciting and engaging events for the semester and assist in leading executive and leadership teams.
As Chapter Vice President, I am ecstatic to continue in welcoming returning and new members alike and give them a great experience, and assist them in navigating as young professionals in the communications field.
When I first joined PRSSA as a member back in Spring of 2024 I was a transfer student that was lost and since joining, I have learned valuable skill sets that has truly helped me in starting my professional career.
In my free time, I enjoy spending time with my loved ones, shopping, trying new foods, and anything beauty-related, singing karaoke, and collecting trinkets such as sonny angels. I am excited to share soon what we have in stored for this semester!
Hello! My name is Gavin Gonzalez, and I’m honored to serve as the Co-Vice President of PRSSA this semester. I’m a senior majoring in Strategic Communications with a focus on Public Relations and minoring in Consumer Science.
One of my main goals this year is to connect with all the amazing new members while building lasting friendships and professional relationships along the way. As our chapter grows more than ever this semester, I’m especially excited to help welcome and support all the new faces joining us.
A little about me: My family has always been my biggest motivator, encouraging me to work hard and leave a positive impact wherever I go. Outside of school and work, I’m fully dedicated to my band, ORION 224. I’ve been playing music for over 10 years (drums and piano), and it’s been one of the most rewarding parts of my life. In my free time, I also enjoy playing sports and video games.
I’m excited for all that PRSSA has planned this semester and can’t wait to get to know everyone!

Hello! My name is Jacob Castillo and I’m ecstatic to serve as the Director of Communications here at UH PRSSA. I’m currently majoring in Media Production with a minor in Political Science.
More about me: I bring 6+ years of professional comms experience working across various political campaigns and advocacy orgs, and I currently work as a social media fellow for More Perfect Union, a media journalism org that specializes in fighting corporate corruption. I have a deep love for storytelling, and even deeper love for training people in various comms disciplines—whether it’s video production, editing, graphic design, or social media strategy.
On the other side of this professional veneer, I am an avid RPG gamer, a connoisseur of rare yogurts, and I enjoy spending time watching & reviewing movies!

Hi! My name is Anika Arends and I am so excited to serve as Director of Membership for UH PRSSA. I look forward to using my passion for people and community in our organization.
I am a proud first generation college student who is majoring in Strategic Communications with a focus in Public Relations and a minor in Marketing. I love cooking and trying new foods. I am a huge nerd when it comes to films, tv, superheroes, or makeup. I also absolutely love board games and have my own collection.

Hey! My name is Audrey Hernandez. I am majoring in Strategic Communications with a concentration in Public Relations and I plan on minoring in Business Administration. This semester, I am excited to be serving as Director of Finance. I will be working closely with the executive board to keep the finances of PRSSA organized!
I am an out of state (from NC) first generation college student. I came in as a journalism major but quickly realized public relations was my true passion. I plan on going to graduate school and becoming a touring manager for the music industry.
My love for the music industry started when I was really young and as i’ve grown older i’ve realized there is nothing i’d rather do. I frequent concerts and listen to all sorts of different genres. I am looking forward to expanding beyond public relations and into the realm of finance! I am so excited for this upcoming semester!!!

Hi everyone! My name is Sarah Flores, and I am so excited to be UH PRSSA’s newest Secretary! I am a Strategic Communications major with a concentration in Public Relations and a minor in Public Health.
I have a passion for both communications and healthcare, and I hope to combine the two to make an impact in the medical field.
In my free time, I enjoy spending time with my family, friends, and of course, the members of UH PRSSA! I also love baking, reading, concerts, matcha and chai, playing video games, and discovering new hotspots around Houston.
I cannot wait to get started within this amazing organization and so excited to meet all of our members!
