MEET THE EXECUTIVE TEAM
Hello! My name is Gavin Gonzalez, and I’m honored to serve as the President of PRSSA this semester. I’m a senior majoring in Strategic Communications with a focus on Public Relations and minoring in Consumer Science.
One of my main goals this year is to connect with all the amazing new members while building lasting friendships and professional relationships along the way. As our chapter grows more than ever this semester, I’m especially excited to help welcome and support all the new faces joining us.
A little about me: My family has always been my biggest motivator, encouraging me to work hard and leave a positive impact wherever I go. Outside of school and work, I’m fully dedicated to my band, ORION 224. I’ve been playing music for over 10 years (drums and piano), and it’s been one of the most rewarding parts of my life. In my free time, I also enjoy playing sports and video games.
I’m excited for all that PRSSA has planned this semester and can’t wait to get to know everyone!

Hello! My name is Danielle Vela, this semester's Vice President! I'm a senior majoring in Strategic Communications with a concentration in Public Relations and minoring in Human Development and Consumer Sciences.
I’m grateful to lead an extraordinary group of individuals. Our chapter focuses on creating opportunities for members to learn, grow, and connect. We're so excited to continue our work from last semester and introduce new initiatives. There's a path here for you!
In my free time, I enjoy exploring different parts of Houston and am always up for an adventure! I’m constantly consuming media, pop culture, photography, and cinema. I love it all!

Hi! My name is Lucinda Davis, and I am excited to serve as the Director of Communications for this semester! I am a senior majoring in Strategic Communications with a concentration in Public Relations and a minor in Marketing.
As the Director of Communications, my goal is to keep our members informed and engaged through our various social media platforms while showing off all that our organization and its members have to offer!
Outside of PRSSA, I am an intern with the UH Athletics Communications Department for the 2026-2027 academic year. After graduation, I plan to build a career in sports communication and media, and hope to work for a professional team!
In my free time, I enjoy hanging out with family and friends, traveling, watching hockey, and reading!

I will be graduating in December with my Bachelor's in Strategic Communication and a minor in Legal Studies. My goal is for everyone to grow professionally this semester with the help of PRSSA. My name is Jonah Serrano, and I am a dual major in Finance and Marketing from the University of Houston, graduating in December 2026. I am planning to build a career in commercial and relationship banking because I love interacting with people, understanding the dynamics of the corporate world, and the financial decisions involved. My objective is to gain practical experience in the banking industry and apply it to my career.

Hello, I’m Elexia Lopez! I’m a senior majoring in Strategic Communications with a minor in Management and Leadership. This year, I’m serving as the Secretary for UH PRSSA, where I help keep our website, calendar, and newsletter updated. I also work closely with the executive board to share internship, networking, and event opportunities that can help support our members.
Outside of PRSSA, I’m also a Resident Advisor at the Lofts! After graduation, I hope to work with different industries to expand my skill set.
Outside of school, I love spending time with my family and friends, reading, binge-watching sitcoms, and organizing!
